Senior Designer, Project Manager

2017 - Present
Brooklyn, NY

One of a few custom high-end furniture shops in New York City that also provides a comprehensive end-to-end design experience. I provide design services from first consultation to final drawings, project management to completion and coordination with on-site subcontractors for complex projects requiring multiple trades.

Projects range from bespoke free-standing furniture to custom kitchen renovations, to full interior  fitouts which provide a functional reconfiguring of the space. As a custom shop, details are a developed and time-tested vocabulary as much visible as they are integral to the fabrication methods of the cabinet-makers.

Downtown Brooklyn, 2017 – Built-in cabinetry on the periphery of the space blends office with the capacity for an additional guest room. The visual aesthetic extends the existing Richard Meier designed interiors. The built-ins incorporate a fold-down murphy bed, rolling cabinet for printer and other electronics and additional storage space.

2019, Columbus Circle — A similar mandate here to merge office space with capacity for a guest room, this space had the height required to loft the bed over the desk area which incorporates ledges for a speaker system, printer, filing cabinet and wire management. The room gets a lot of light so the plain slice walnut with a clear coat finish grounds the end of the room with warm tones.

2018, Cobble Hill — This wall unit articulates the accent wall of a large loft-like living/dining area creating space to display ornaments and to conceal the TV and other storage behind sliding doors
